This Privacy Policy explains how LearnPiano.online ("we", "us", the "App") handles information when you use our web application and its Android version distributed through Google Play. We designed the App to work without user accounts and without collecting data that directly identifies you.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide your name, email, or phone number. We collect the following limited data:

• Anonymous device identifier — a random ID (UUID) generated and stored on your device to distinguish sessions and save your recordings. It is not linked to your real identity.
• Technical information — browser name and version, operating system/platform, preferred language, time zone, screen resolution, and IP address (used to run the service and prevent abuse).
• MIDI device information — the name and connection status of a MIDI instrument you connect, used only to display and manage the connection.
• Recordings you create — if you choose to record a performance, we store the MIDI note events, title, related practice piece, duration, and basic statistics so you can play back and, optionally, share them.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide core functionality (connecting MIDI devices, showing scores, saving and playing back your recordings).
• To operate, maintain, and improve the App and diagnose technical issues.
• To protect the service against misuse and abuse.

3. MIDI Access

The App requests access to MIDI devices solely to receive notes you play on a connected piano or keyboard in real time. We do not request access to system exclusive (SysEx) messages. MIDI data is processed to provide interactive feedback and, only when you choose to record, saved as described above.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your data. We do not use third-party advertising networks. Information may be processed by our hosting provider strictly to operate the service. If you create a shareable link for a recording, anyone with that link can access that specific recording until the link expires or is removed.

5. Data Retention

Technical information and recordings are retained for as long as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your recordings and associated data (see Contact below).

6. Children's Privacy

The App is a general-audience educational tool and is not directed to children under the age required by your local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Security

All communication with our servers uses HTTPS. We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we handle, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Your Rights
